Chaos lifted his head to the air once more, inhaling deeply.
"I think it's the water. It's getting stronger. We need to find the river, and then climb up to the highlands. From there, we'll be able to look over the cliff to see the beach."

He started off again. As they trotted through the forest, the hours went by. And Chaos started noticing the change in the density of the fog. Was it getting lighter, finally?

"Listen for the sound of the--" His head shot up and he stood completely still. "...do you hear trickling water?"

Athena cocked her heard to the side, ears flicking forward and she strained to listen. She might not be as fast as Chaos was, but her hearing could match his, wit for wit.

"It...it does!", the half-breed said, prancing forward excitedly. "I've never seen a real river before! In the city we had a few streams, but that was all..."
