Athena, upon hearing her introduction, stepped out as well, tail tucked between her legs, ears perked inquisitivly at the two other wolves in front of her. She looked from the female to the male - were they mates? Alphas?
Thorn nodded at the introductions, eyeing the two other wolves. They didn't look like mates; no, they looked more like siblings. Except there seemed to b a distance between them. Perhaps...cousins? Or maybe just from the same pack. He puzzled over it for a moment, shrugging at last. "I am Thorn, Alpha of my pack. This is Dezari...another member of my pack."

Chaos sniffed the wind, noting their scent and a few other details about them. Dezari was not of his pack. She didn't smell the least bit like him. She also had a sort of twisted auroma to her... one that reminded him of Athena. A half-breed, maybe. "You're lying," Chaos accused. "Her scent does not resemble yours in the least bit. How are we to trust you if you refuse to tell us the truth?" he asked. He could sense some unity in the two, but he didn't understand the relationship at all. They were both a solid ebony in coloring, but their markings were different colors. They couldn't be related.

"She is new, loner.", explained Thorn, annoyance clear in his deep voice. He didn't appreciate this intruding rogue calling him a liar.
Athena frowned. She smelled them, but didn't know how Chaos could tell they weren't from the same pack. It probably took experience.

Chaos rested his head on the conifer beside him, scanning the wolf couple and trying to get a better idea of Thorn's explanation. His arrogance was evident, and somehow, he saw him as still being quite a young alpha. And through his eyes, he hoped that Thorn couldn't read his thoughts, because they consisted of wonder on how his pack could survive with such leadership skills. Some had a natural talent for being an alpha. Others, such as Thorn, might have to grow from experiance to gain wisdom.
He shifted his weight to a different hindleg as he looked at the two, thinking of what he might say next. While it was true, that they didn't come for a specific reason, he didn't feel it safe to tell the brute that they came because the blood-smell attracted them. He might assume that tey came to steal the kill.
"Listen, Sir Thorn..." His eyes narrowed to let the hewolf know that he was not joking. "As I said before, we are coming with no thoughts of mutiny in mind. We wish to pass through your territory unharmed. We have places to go, as do you, I suppose..." he said, eyeing Dezari. "Why don't you let us take care of our business, and we will, uh... let you take care of yours."
